My sweet girl...(well sometimes) I see already that our teenage years might get rough, not because of her beauty but because of her attitude.  She sure is sassy that's for sure, but her spirit is magical, and her intentions are good.

(Photo was taken a couple of weeks ago, during an ice storm..It was cold, and very tundra like looking outside, but it was so, so beautiful. It looked like there were hundreds & hundreds of tiny crystals hanging from all of the trees. And the sky was the most amazing color of blue.)

Have you seen the ads on television for this Don't Almost Give Org. Love this whole concept. And this Random Acts of Kindness How many times in life do we think about helping someone or we want do something for someone but never do. I know there are lots of times I have almost, but never followed through. Adding this on my list of things to be aware of.

Aren't these just beautiful? Love them, love him even more..I am a lucky girl. :)

Proof positive that I live with little creatures..The evidence is all around me..Backpacks, creations on their art table, tiny toys covering their bed covers, and boxes of trinkets..As frustrating as it is that they don't always pick up their things, I love walking into a room and seeing things just as they left them..

Took a little break today and made something for myself, it has been a while..Too long.  It felt good to sit and complete something. :) All photos are 3x3, printed off my printer (110lb. cardstock) punched a whole through each photo in the corner and ran ribbon through to tie them together. Happy Wednesday Night! 

(Took this while looking out the front door this morning..Needing to have patience like she does..just sitting and waiting for me to let her back in after playing in the cold snow.)

Working on lots of things today. That seems to be the norm for me lately. You know what I must say I kind of like it. We are reaching the fifth week of the first workshop. I cannot believe how quickly it has gone by. I have learned a lot about myself and I can only hope that the other ladies have learned a lot about their selves as well. I am thankful that I took a step out in faith, and believed in myself enough to do this. Stepping out in faith everyday, that’s what it is all about.

I have not set a date for March classes just yet, but I do have what I am calling a ‘Class Interest List’ going..So if you are interested send me an e-mail and I will put your e-mail address on the list. I am also wanting to do a continuation of classes for those that are taking the first set. Lots of things to do, lots of things to think about.

Still thinking lots about Sheye and sweet Ava. It’s amazing how a little community on the internet can come together. Most of us have never even met, nor have we ever met Sheye, but we still reach out and grasp. Amazing..I am thankful to ‘know’ friends like you..Continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers, I know that then can feel us around them.

Hoping to have a pretty low key weekend around here. I think we are going to head out tonight and go into town. I need to get a new printer, and really want to stop by the bookstore. Last weekend I stopped at the bookstore and picked up some chapter books to start reading to the kids at night. It seems like we were reading and cycling through the same books over and over again. Chapter books seem to be a good middle ground! Expect for the fact that they lack pictures or at least not a lot of pictures. ;) Expecting a bit more snow late tonight and tomorrow morning. Yippee..I am considering a move to a southern state. Any ideas? However my husband is tickled to death, like a kid that wakes up only to learn that school has been canceled for the day. I imagine he will be out playing on the snowmobile..(I have to say that I actually really enjoy the snowmobile as well, Shhh..Don’t tell!)

Happy Valentine's Day!

A couple of weeks ago when we were at the store I bought one of those hearts that are filled with chocolates for the kids as a treat. Well yesterday they saw it in the pantry and they begged, pleaded, and I believe Maddie even threw her whole body around my leg. So I gave in. The rule choose only one piece. Well Maddie being Maddie had her own set of rules. She took a bite out of each piece of chocolate and then placed it back in its desired place...Sneaky I tell ya..We got the biggest kick out of that.

This happened a few weeks ago..But..The pizza place where we get our pizza in town always puts tootsie rolls in the box, well she always really looks forward to getting one of those after she eats her pizza. Well on this particular evening, she didn't hardly eat any of her pizza. So my husband said to her 'Maddie, you have hardly even touched your pizza, no tootsie rolls until you eat'..Maddie without giving it a second thought leaned over touched her pizza with her finger and said 'There daddy, I touched it'..Stubborn little booger, she does get it honest though!

Oh and if she does something she is not suppose to be doing or touching she will admit her own fault and yell from the room that she is in ‘ssssssooooorrrrryyyy’...gotta love her!

Urgent Prayers

I have re-typed this post out a hundred times already..I really don’t know what to say or where to start. This morning I received an e-mail from Sheye, she is a friend and was also in my workshop. She tragically lost her little girl Ava this week. My heart is absolutely breaking for her and her family right now. There are no words. She was a beautiful, vibrant little girl. If you are the believing type, please pray for Sheye and her family. Dear Lord- I ask that you please lift up Sheye and her beautiful family during this time of tragedy. Let the strength from your body flow to theirs. Give them the courage they need to face what is before them. Let their hearts be filled with peace and not with guilt. Let them not question but celebrate her life. We have lots of questions, Lord..There are things that we just don’t understand. We put our trust in you and know that you have your reasons. Continue to lift and hold on to their family during this tragic time, Lord. In Jesus Name I Pray Amen I would love to put a care package together for Sheye and her family. Just something to brighten their days, even if it is only for a second.
